This Saturday we will be heading to Kurtdoğmuş village which is on the Asian side near the famous Dam (Ömerli Barajı), We have been on the other side of this dam many times and it is a beautiful place but needs some cleaning.

The village has few other villages next to it which we'll also be passing by since the trekking route is long.

THINGS TO DO:

1- Hiking.

2- Visiting the villages around (Ballica and Kurtdoğumüş)

3- Checking out the lake.

4- Clean as much as we can.

Hiking Details:

We will get out in Göçbeyli Merkez Cami, do some food shopping or eat something and then start the hiking. The place there is amazing and have a very nice view. If you have never been here before I recommend you to come.

First of all, when you arrive in Istanbul, there is a big chance you get stuck in traffic, so it is important to get to metro lines as soon as possible. Especially around rush hours ( 07:30 - 09:30 ) ( 16:30 - 19:30 ) Easiest way to get to metro lines:

1 - By IETT busses: Number H-8 
It will take you to Hacıosman which is the first destination of Hacıosman - Yenikapı metro line.

2- By Havaist busses: Number IST - 5 ( Ticket price : 18 TL )
By using IST-5 bus you can take off at 3 different stops. 

4.LEVENT - You can get to metro line

Zincirlikuyu - You can get to metrobus line

Beşiktaş - You can get to ferries to Kadıköy and Üsküdar ( Asian side )

To be able to use public transport you need to have an Istanbul card. Which you can buy at the airport. Don't forget to put enough money in it, because it's the only way to pay for the buses from IST airport. 

If your stay is longer than a day, and you will use it multiple times ( like 20 times maybe ), buying a card for each person is better. If you're going to use it couple times, you may get one card only and use it for more than one person. The card can be used for metro, marmaray, metrobus, ferries etc.
It is an anonymous card and price is : 6TL

Once you reach to Hacıosman or 4.Levent Metro station ( different stops on the same line) you can get to Taksim or Yenikapı directly. See the image below.

Once you reach to Yenikapı station, you'll continue to Marmaray Metro line which connects european and asian side ( going through a tunnel under the sea ). By using marmaray you can get to Uskudar directly, or Kadıköy at  Söğütlüçeşme station. See the image below:

If you have a limited time in Istanbul, I'd suggest you to drop off your luggages at the airport. There are luggage storage ares you can securely lock your luggages.

The goal of this campaign is to create awakening among people who go for camping trips, hiking or even picnic.

In Turkey recently camping has become a trending sport and activity where people go to natural attractions taking all their comfortable life with them e.g. huge amount of plastic bags, bottles of beers..etc

The end of every public holiday these places become a trash scene, it loses its beauty, loses its reputation and gives a very sad and negative image about the country and the people.

April 21 departure from the harbor of Fethiye ..

Due to some people might arrive late, The departure might be delayed a bit which means the maximum departure time could be during the noon time on 21 of April.

In the first day we'll have a snack / cake / .and in the evening there will be a BBQ ...

There is a bar on the boat so you can drink whatever you like there (Bar is not free and not part of the payment)

There are dozens of other villages in that zone that we will be visiting... April 24 Afternoon we'll head back to Fetihye Harbor again to head back.

A weekly organized event in the summer when there are no camping events. The volleyball event is organized in kadikoy near moda (Close to the sea side) where there’s a ready volleyball court.

Iftar as part of “Ramadhan” is a social event where people meet and break their fast. And since we played volleyball with people who were fasting it was a good chance to bring people of all religions together on the same meal where some people brought their own food to share with others.

Hiking and Camping in Agva

Ağva is one of the most splendid places in the black sea region which is close to Istanbul. It comes about 30kms east of Şile which is known for its beautiful beaches.

Ağva on the other hand combines nature beauty, rivers and sea all together and also a hiking route dedicated to trekkers.
